Go On, Treat Yourself!

I hinted a short while back about how I intended to treat myself for giving up smoking. Well today is the day and I can reveal that my 'treat' is a convertible Vauxhall Astra!

I figured that as I had been breathing fresh air for well over 2 months it would be nice to breathe fresh air while I was driving too - mind you, with the weather in England it could turn out to be an expensive folly. But then again; what is smoking if it is not an expensive (very) waste of money?

Maybe I'm going a bit crazy in my middle age, but you've got to live a little haven't you? I know my daughter will be surprised and excited when I pick her up from school later - so it's worth it just for that.

What has this got to do with quitting smoking though? Easy! I am rewarding myself for persevering and kicking the disgusting habit, and using the money I am saving for a little bit of fun for the summer months. So if you came here to learn how to quit smoking, or simply to read about somebody else's experience of quitting then this is it. If you are smoking 20 or more a day then it is costing you well over £30 per week (in the UK) - money you could use towards a treat like this perhaps?

Til next time...
